FightBox is proud to announce that King of Kings, one of the most recognizable brands of kickboxing, will return to live action from Vilnius, Lithuania on Saturday March 16th 2024 starting at 6:00 pm CET (7:00 pm in Lithuania).
King of Kings returns to their home base of the Avia Solutions Group Arena in Vilnius, Lithuania for another huge event. The arena is known for housing kickboxing’s biggest events, regularly attended by upwards of 10,000 fans.
In the main event, KOK and Glory champion Sergej Maslobojev is back in King of Kings, once again at heavyweight. No one can question the credentials of “The Sledgehammer” who has been at the top of the world light heavyweight rankings for several years, competing at the highest level. However, in recent fights he has been competing at heavyweight. In his last heavyweight bout he scored an early KO victory against top British fighter Rhys Brudnell, another Glory veteran. This time he will face the challenge of an up-and-coming Dutch fighter Leandro Dikmoet who has been training at Mike's Gym. Not many fighters nowadays are brave enough to step into the ring with Maslobojev, but Dikmoet fears no man and is willing to do whatever it takes to get the win.
Also on the card is a huge welterweight showdown between two of the top fighters in the division when number one ranked Raimondas Avlasevicius takes on number six ranked Maunel “The Big F” Rifa. The last time Rifa was in Lithuania, he defeated Avlasevicius’ teammate and former KOK Lightweight Champion Henrikas Viksraitis. Now Avlasevicius, who always has a big appetite, is coming for revenge. A win for Rifa could catapult his way up the rankings, but does he have what it takes to beat the welterweight WGP tournament winner?
The always controversial and outspoken Rodrigo Mineiro will also return to Lithuania in a highly-anticipated rematch against Raimondas Krilavicius under MMA Bushido rules. Minerio’s confidence has never been higher after scoring two straight victories in KOK, including a second round KO of Krilavicius last November. Krilavicius has promised a much different outcome this time around. Can he deliver? The full fight card for the evening can be found below.
