FightBox is proud to announce that Colosseum Tournament, Romania’s biggest kickboxing promotion, will be live from Suceava, Romania this Friday June 30th starting at 6:00 pm CEST (7:00 pm local time).
Colosseum Tournament kickboxing 39 presents historic fights at a very unique location. This amazing outdoor event is being held at “Cetatea de Scaun” (the fortress of Suceava) and will feature two huge title fights with some of the organizations best fighters and several top international competitors.
In the main event, local hero Vasile Amaritei, a Colosseum Tournament Middleweight Champion at -86 kg, goes for another title when he takes on Thian de Vriesb. Amaritei is looking to become the second fighter in Colosseum Tournament history to capture titles in two different weight divisions. Amaritei has already proven he is one of the top fighters in Colosseum Tournament, but now he must face off against a powerful and dynamic rival who has fought in many top kickboxing promotions, including Enfusion.
Alexandru Amaritei, the younger brother of Vasile, will also be on the card in a title bout. About one year ago Amaritei won the CT Welterweight Championship by defeating Eduard Gafencu, subsequently losing it to Stefan Orza two months later. By winning this match he can regain his hopes of once again becoming the world champion. Top CT bantamweight fighter Michai Rusu will also be featured on the card, taking on Sakvan Arab, a protégé of K1 legend Semmy Schilt. The full fight card for the evening can be found below.
