FightBox is proud to announce that Colosseum Tournament, Romania’s biggest kickboxing promotion, will be live from Brasov, Romania this Friday May 5th starting at 6:00 pm CEST (7:00 pm local time).
After a five month break, Colosseum Tournament kickboxing is back for their first big event of 2023 and it is clear that the organizers have not been idle. After a few fight card changes, CT 38 now features to big featherweight title fights. First, in the co-main event, the highly anticipated rematch between Valentine Mavrodin and Daniel Dragomir will be contested for the Colosseum Tournament New Heroes Featherweight Championship. It was at CT 37 last November that Dragomir seemingly defeated Mavrodin by split decision. However, the decision was challenged and the organizers decided to overturn the original decision and Mavroid was declared the winner. They will now have the chance to settle their feud once and for all.
Then, in the main event, after a four-man lightweight championship tournament was called off due to visa issues with some of the foreign fighters, Darius Argyo and Marian Lapusneanu will square off once again, this time for the Colosseum Tournament World Featherweight Championship title. These two last fought to a split decision after an extra round at CT 37 with Lapusneanu squeaking out the victory. However, with the championship on the line in a five-round contest, now we will see who the better man truly is. The full fight card for the evening can be found below.
