King of Kings “Mega Series” live from Vilnius, Lithuania 19.03.2022

FightBox is proud to announce that King of Kings, one of the most recognizable brands of kickboxing, will return to live action from Vilnius, Lithuania on Saturday March, 19th 2022 starting at 6:00 pm CET (7:00 pm in Lithuania).

King of Kings is back in Vilnius, Lithuania for another massive event known as the “Mega Series” which showcases some of the biggest fights the company has to offer in front of an expected audience of about 10,000 fans. The event features the return of several of KOK’s most beloved fighters as well as the debut of rapper Iron Vytas. However, the main attraction of the night will be a four-man lightweight WGP tournament.

Four of KOK’s top lightweights will compete in a one-night WGP tournament at the Mega Series. These kinds of tournaments are high-risk, high-reward as according to KOK rules, the winner can receive a title shot. However, one caveat this time around is the fact that current KOK Lightweight Champion Mindaugas Narauskas has entered into the tournament. Narauskas captured the KOK gold last November with a win over then number-one ranked Marek Pelcis. Another interesting fact is that two of the participants just fought a few weeks ago in Riga, Latvia with Teo Mikelevic defeating Hubert Dylewski by points after an extra round. It’s possible the two could face each other again in the finals if they both win their semi-final fights.

Iron Vytas, real name Vytautas Medineckas, is one of Lithuania’s most popular rappers and has performed live at numerous KOK events. He has even written a song called “King of Kings”. His most popular song on YouTube has nearly 4 million views. Now he will get to fulfill one of his greatest wishes, to have a professional fight. His bout will be under boxing rules against a Lithuanian fighter who is two meters tall.

Many fans are also excited to see Sergej Maslobojev back in action in King of Kings. He is currently the number-three-ranked light heavyweight fighter for Glory Kickboxing and one of the best fighters at this weight class in the world. The Mega Series also features the return of former MMA Bushido Champion Ignas Barysas who has not competed for KOK since September of 2018 due to health issues. This time he will be competing under kickboxing rules. The full fight card for the evening can be found below.
