FightBox HD is proud to announce that Mix Fight Championship returns to live action on Saturday June 22nd 2019, emanating from Kassel, Germany at 9:00 pm CEST.
This unique event features fights under kickboxing and MMA rules including an MFC Heavyweight Championship Fight. In one of the most anticipated fights of the night, James McSweeney makes his return to Mix Fight. “The Sledgehammer” last fought in MFC in a kickboxing rules bout against former Glory Kickboxing star Danyo Illunga and won with an incredible knockout victory. But McSweeney is well versed in both kickboxing and MMA and will now face a new challenge as he fights for the MFC Heavyweight MMA Championship against Hatef Moeil of Iran. Moeil has competed for many of the top MMA promotions in Europe including KSW, FFC and Superior FC. He is also riding a four fight win streak coming into the fight, but does he have enough to put away the battle tested former UFC fighter from England?
Long time kickboxer Stefan Leiko will make his comeback after a three year hiatus. Leiko has fought nearly every top heavyweight kickboxer since his debut in the mid nineties. He holds victories over Badr Hari, Peter Aerts, Catalin Morosanu, Remy Bonjasky, Mike Bernardo and many other kickboxing legends. In a recent interview Leiko said of his opponent Marinko Neimarevic, “I won once against him, and I am sure to win again on 22.06.2019 against him. I will go for the real deal.” And indeed it will be a rematch as these two previously fought in 2012. The full fight card can be found below.
