Romanian kickboxing promotion Golden Fighter made their live debut on FightBox HD this weekend from the seaside resort town of Mamaia, Romania. The event was co-promoted with fellow Romanian kickboxing promotion Oss Fighters and was titled “Romania vs. China” with Chinese promotion Wu Lin Feng providing the international competition. The show featured 12 big fights, the first nine being Romania vs. China fights. There was also a WKN title fight and Romanian superstar Andrei Stoica fought in the main event against Lithuanian heavyweight Tomas Steponkevicius who was a replacement for Clyde Brunswijk. It’s worth noting that in the Bogdan Stoica - Hao Guanghua fight, it looked like a clean, highlight-reel knockout victory for Bogdan Stoica in the third round. However, the judges ruled that the jumping switch knee was illegal because Stoica was holding with two hands behind the head and gave the fight to Guanghua.
