The current IBF North American Heavyweight Champion, Tomasz Adamek is set to defend his title against Dominick Guinn in Uncasville, Connecticut, USA at the Mohegan Sun Casino on Saturday, August 3rd.
This will be Adamek’s third defense of the title since winning the vacant belt back in June of last year against Eddie Chambers. Chambers will also be fighting on the card, which is to be broadcasted on NBC in America, at cruiserweight versus Thabiso Mchunu.
Adamek was originally slated to fight Tony Grano. However, due to a back injury Guinn was named as a replacement. Both Adamek (48 - 2, 29KOs) and Guinn (34-9-1, 23KOs) are known for their granite chins. Guinn has never been knocked out in his career and Adamek has only lost 2 bouts in his entire career, one of those happening two years ago in a title bout against Vitali Klitschko which ended due to referee’s stoppage.
