FightBox is proud to announce that King of Kings, one of the most recognizable brands of kickboxing, will return to live action from Nicosia, Cyprus on Saturday July 20th 2024 starting at 8:00 pm CEST.
KOK returns to Cyprus for what is being called “The Hottest Event of the Summer”. This will be the promotion’s seventh time hosting an event on the Mediterranean island nation. The show includes eleven fights under kickboxing rules and one Muay Thai bout to be held in a very unique venue, the outdoor Dali Amphitheatre.
In the main event it will be Greece vs. Cyprus when Aleksandros Georgiou takes on George Kostanidis in a featherweight bout. Kostanidis has fought several times under the KOK banner including fights in Lithuania, Moldova and Estonia. However, he has been inactive for personal reasons for the past six years. Now he feels it’s the right time for a comeback. A win in his home country will show he still has what it takes to be a top fighter in KOK.
Also on the card is the always controversial and outspoken Rodrigo Mineiro as he faces Georgi Klim of Cyprus. Mineiro is known for his wild fights and he is never at a loss of words for his opponent. However, last year he won two out of his three fights in KOK and is looking for a title shot in the future. In order to do that a win against Klim will be imperative.
