FightBox is proud to announce that MMA Bushido, one of Europe’s longest-running mixed martial arts promotions, returns to live action from Wavre, Belgium on Saturday January 13th starting at 8:00 pm CET.
MMA Bushido returns to Belgium, where the promotion has had a series of memorable shows over the past few years. This all-caged event features a middleweight main event when the unbeaten Alain Van De Merckt (5 - 0) steps back into the cage for the first time this year. One of the country’s top perspectives at this weight class, Van De Merckt has finished all of his opponents so far, including a win at MMA Bushido 87 last March. This time he will be looking to make short work of Croatian journeyman Zoran Dod to push his career even further.
Also on the card is a heavyweight bout where Holland’s Arya Sheikh Hosseini takes on Kazim Aras of Turkey. Housseini has fought several times recently for KOK / MMA Bushido including in a title fight against current MMA Bushido Heavyweight Champion Tomas Pakutinskas in November and is a product of Mike’s Gym where many of the world’s top kickboxing stars train. Aras is a former Bellator fighter and a very tough, hard-hitting fight veteran. This could make for an explosive heavyweight contest. The full fight card for the evening can be found below.
