FightBox HD is proud to announce that Makowski Fighting Championship returns to live action on Saturday September 30th 2023 from Zielona Góra, Poland. Top Polish fighters and competitors from abroad will compete under kickboxing rules, starting at 8:00 pm CEST.
Makowski Fighting Championship is back for the promotion’s 21st event featuring a blockbuster fight card. The main attraction of the evening a five-round fight at 60 kilos with two belts on the line. MFC’s new star Michał Gołębiowski, a protege of Tomek Makowski, gets his biggest opportunity yet as he meets Dominik Prchal of the Czech Republic for both the PZKB Polish International Title and the MFC Championship. Gołębiowski will be making his first defense of the MFC title after winning it in a tournament at the last Makowski Fighting Championship event, almost exactly one year ago.
Also on the card is longtime MFC fighter Maciej Zembik who is a former champion in the promotion under Muay Thai rules. Zembik is one of the most popular fighters on the MFC roster and holds the record for the most number of appearances as well as the longest undefeated streak. His opponent will be Tomas Pelant of the Czech Republic who is hungry to prove he can not only hang with the MFC veteran, but take him out. The main card also features the finals of the four-man K1 rules 71 kg PRO-AM tournament. The full fight card for the evening can be found below. All fights are under kickboxing rules.
