FightBox is proud to announce that MMA Bushido, one of Europe’s longest-running mixed martial arts promotions, returns to live action from Sofia, Bulgaria on Saturday April 22rd starting at 6:00 pm CEST (7:00 pm in Bulgaria).
After another caged MMA event in Brussels, Belgium last month, MMA Bushido debuts in Sofia, Bulgaria with another exciting fight card. The main event sees Bulgaria’s Jivko Stoimenov (13-6) taking on Maxim Soroka (22-35-1) of Ukraine at middleweight. “The Bulgarian Ripper” is looking to bounce back from a few losses in KSW, Europe’s biggest MMA promotion. Soroka is a true journeyman of mixed martial arts with nearly 60 fights in his 11 year career and should be prepared for anything Stoimenov can throw at him.
Also, in the co-main event, two unbeaten rising stars will put their undefeated streaks on the line when David Hawker (5-0) meets Noah Gugnon (2-0). Hawker made his return to MMA last summer at an MMA bushido event in Brussels after an eight year layoff, winning his fight with a first round armbar. Gugnon has finished both his professional fights before the final bell and is looking to take the next step in his career at MMA Bushido in Bulgaria.
