ESPN Africa Boxing 20 - LIVE on FightBox HD 25.08.2022 from Johannesburg, South Africa

 

FightBox is proud to announce that ESPN Africa Boxing, one of the greatest new boxing franchises, will return to live action from Johannesburg, South Africa on Thursday August 28th, 2022 starting at 7:00 pm CET (8:00 pm local time).

In a first for ESPN Africa Boxing, a world-class, women-only fight card featuring the most inspiring and empowering women from across the African Continent. Six main card bouts aim at showcasing the most fierce and powerful women as they step up to battle for the crown, during August, which is Women’s Month in South Africa.

In the main event, Simangele “Smash” Hadebe (11-3-2) takes on Stumaki “S.T.U.” Muki (6-1) for the ABU Flyweight Championship in a ten round title contest. Hadebe is undefeated in her last six fights, capturing two titles and is looking to make her first defense of the ABU Championship. After losing on points in January of 2001, Muki has won her last three and is ready to capture her first championship. Also, in the co-main event of the evening, Ellen Simwaka (10-5-2) faces the undefeated Lanah Kasweka (6-0) in a ten round IBF Africa Bantamweight Title fight.
