FightBox is proud to announce that Colosseum Tournament, Romania’s biggest kickboxing promotion, will be live from Arad, Romania on Friday October 23th starting at 5:00 pm CEST (6:00 pm local time).
Colosseum Tournament Kickboxing is set to host its first live event despite COVID-19 restrictions in Romania. The fight card looks really strong and features a CT Heavyweight Title fight and many of the top stars of the promotion.
In the main event kickboxing great Freddy Kemayo challenges current Colosseum Tournament Heavyweight Champion Marius Munteanu with the title on the line. Kemayo is considered a legend in the sport and holds victories over several top Romanian fighters including Catalin Morosanu, Sebastian Ciobanu and Ionut lftimoaie. Two of his last three fights have been in Romania. Munteanu became the Colosseum Tournament Champion by defeating Costin Mincu last June. This will be the champion’s toughest challenge to date.
Also in action are two of the country’s top welterweights when former two-time Colosseum Tournament champion Eduard Gafencu faces Anghel Cardos. Gafencu, a native of Arad, rose to international stardom after his stunning knockout via hurricane kick went viral on social media. However, this two-division champion has yet to defend either of his Colosseum Tournament titles. His opponent, Cardos is a well-known, experienced fighter who has competed numerous times in CT. This is a main-event-level fight that could steal the show. The full fight card for the evening can be found below.
