FightBox is proud to announce that Colosseum Tournament, Romania’s biggest kickboxing promotion, will be live from Oradea, Romania on Friday September 25th starting at 6:00 pm CEST (7:00 pm local time).
Colosseum Tournament is back after a lengthy hiatus for its first event of 2020 due to the COVID-19 restrictions. Judging by the fight card, it has been worth the wait. In the main event, the living legend of Romanian kickboxing and MMA Alexandru “Sandu” Lungu will take on Hajdu Tamas. Not many fighters are willing to step into the ring with +160 kg superheavyweight Lungu, but Tamas has promised to push his rival to the limits.
Also, in the co-main event, two of Colosseum Tournament’s top featherweight fighters will square off when Marian Lapusneanu takes on Adrian Maxim. This will be the first fight back in a Colosseum ring for Maxim since facing the current -65 kg champion Maxim Railean in October of last year. Unhappy with the decision for an extra round, Maxim stormed out of the arena and forfeited the fight, and the title to Railean. Now he has a chance for redemption against another top fighter.
