FightBox is proud to announce that King of Kings, one of the most recognizable brands in kickboxing, will return to live action from Kaunas, Lithuania on Sunday August 2nd 2020 starting at 6:00 pm CEST (7:00 pm local time).
King of Kings is back in Lithuania, this time in the nation’s second biggest city of Kaunas. This is the second KOK event since the Coronavirus lockdown in March which cancelled nearly all fighting events in Europe, a good sign that the promotion remains strong during these trying times. The card is comprised of two parts and features fighters from Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia and Poland.
The main event sees the return to the ring of former Olympic medalist Evaldas Petrauskas. The Lithuanian boxer won the bronze medal at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London and since turning pro in 2018 is 2 - 0 and has accumulated a total of three wins under the KOK banner. His opponent on Sunday will be Polish fighter Lukasz Leczycki, who is primarily a Muay Thai fighter and kickboxer. Leczycki is 2 - 5 - 1 in KOK, all his fights being under kickboxing rules.
Also on the card is rising Lithuanian star Ernesta Kareckaite. A pupil of current MMA Bushido Champion Ignas Barysas, Kareckaite comes into this fight undefeated at 3 - 0. If her success continues she may follow in the footsteps of countrywoman Julia Stoliarenko who has competed in the UFC and earlier this year captured gold for Invicta FC.
