ESPN Africa Boxing 18 - LIVE on FightBox HD 30.06.2022 from Johannesburg, South Africa

FightBox is proud to announce that ESPN Africa Boxing, one of the greatest new boxing franchises, will return to live action from Johannesburg, South Africa on Thursday June 30th, 2022 starting at 7:00 pm CEST.

ESPN Africa Boxing is back for their sixth event of 2022 as the franchise continues to expand and gain popularity. In the main event, the undefeated Rayton “Boom Boom” Okwiri (7 - 0 - 1) of Kenya will face Emmany “The General” Kalombo (15 - 1). Kalombo is the taller and more experienced fighter who has stopped every single one of his opponents. In a recent ESPN interview he stated that he’s expecting a good tough fight from a tricky southpaw opponent. He is also looking for this fight to springboard him to even bigger fights internationally. Okwiri has a strong amateur background and even qualified for the 2020 Olympic Games. He is looking to remain unbeaten and capture his second professional title. It will be his first fight back since October of 2021. The fight will be a twelve round contest for the vacant IBF International Super Welterweight Title.

In the co-main event South Africa’s Thulani Mbenge (18 - 1) will take on Tanzania’s Idd Pialari (30 - 7 - 1) in a ten round welterweight battle. Mbenge will be in his second fight of this year and is riding a three fight win streak after suffering his only loss three years ago. Pialari earned a solid decision victory in his last contest defeating Chimwemwe Chiotcha by unanimous decision in his home country. The full fight card for the evening can be found below:
