Colosseum Tournament 42 - LIVE from Ploiesti, Romania 24.05.2024

FightBox is proud to announce that Colosseum Tournament, Romania’s biggest kickboxing promotion, will be live from Ploiesti, Romania this Friday May 24th starting at 6:00 pm CEST (7:00 pm local time).

Colosseum Tournament returns to the place where it all started, Ploiesti, Romania. The very first CT event was held there in 2016 as well as the most recent Colosseum event in December of last year. Once again hometown hero and current World Bantamweight Champion Daniel Dragomir returns the ring to face the challenge of Petros Athanasiou, a very tough Greek fighter who does not back down from anyone. Dragomir is ready to prove once again why he is still the best bantamweight in Romania.

Also on the card is the return of former champion Cosmin Ionescu. Known as “The Silent Killer”, Ionescu lets his hands and feet do the talking in the ring. In 2018 he defeated two men in one night to become the first ever Colosseum -86 kg Champion. After a lengthy lay off he is now back to face Florin Ghita, the man who originally had challenged Alin Nechita, the current CT World Heavyweight Champion. However, after Nechita was recently hospitalized, Ionescu stepped up to take the fight. The full fight card for the evening can be found below.
