FightBox is proud to announce that Colosseum Tournament, Romania’s biggest kickboxing promotion, will be live from Ploiesti, Romania this Friday December 8th starting at 6:00 pm CET (7:00 pm local time).
Colosseum Tournament returns to the place where it all started - Ploiesti, Romania. The very first CT event was held there in 2016 and on December 8th history will be made again. Two title fights headline the event including fights for the light heavyweight and heavyweight titles.
First, Vasile Amaritei is looking to set the record straight against Thian Devries in a -91 kg title fight after Devries viciously knocked him out this past summer at CT 39 in Suceava. This time Amaritei is not only looking for revenge, but to take the belt back home to Romania.
Also on the card is a Colosseum Tournament Heavyweight Title fight. Although the heavyweight division has always been active, it has been quite a while since Colosseum has had a heavyweight champion. Both Alin Nechita and Marian Dunca have proven their worth this year in Colosseum Tournament with Nechita picking up a big third round stoppage victory at the last CT event over Iranian fighter Komeil Sharifi and Dunca defeating Alin Nicola by hard-fought split decision victory. Both men do not refuse hard fights and will do anything to become the champion.
Hometown hero and newly crowned CT Bantamweight Champion Daniel Dragomir will also in action in a non-title bout against Stefan Druja. The full fight card for the evening can be found below.
