FightBox is proud to announce that King of Kings, one of the most recognizable brands in kickboxing, will return to live action from Riga, Latvia on Saturday February 26th 2022 starting at 6:00 pm CET (7:00 pm in Latvia).
After an amazing 2022 debut in Istanbul, Turkey, King of Kings is back on FightBox HD from the Latvian capital of Riga, which has always been a hot spot for KOK. This is the first of two scheduled events for King of Kings in Riga this year.
In the main event, KOK turns its attention to MMA when one of Latvia’s top mixed martial artists, Olegs Jemelijanovs (10-3) returns to the ring to face The Republic of Georgia’s Soslan Gasievi (6-4). Jemelijanovs is a big, tough heavyweight fighter with serious KO power. However, he did suffer a loss in his last fight, which was 15 months ago. He now looks to reestablish his dominance against Gasievi, who much like his opponent, possesses tremendous agility for a heavyweight and has heavy hands.
Also, in the co-main event of the evening, two of KOK’s top lightweights will square off when Croatia’s Teo Mikelic takes on Poland’s Hubert Dylewski. Both men fought and won at the KOK Mega Series in Vilnius, Lithuania last November. However, only one can be victorious and continue his climb up the rankings towards a KOK Lightweight title shot. Mikelic is older, more experienced and has fought for a number of top kickboxing promotions worldwide including Glory. Dylewski is young, but already has a number of big fights under his belt in KOK. The full fight card for the evening can be found below.
