FightBox is proud to announce that Colosseum Tournament, Romania’s biggest kickboxing promotion, will be live from Bucharest, Romania on Friday December 18th starting at 6:00 pm CET (7:00 pm local time).
Despite tight COVID-19 regulations which prevent many promotions from organizing events, Colosseum Tournament returns to action once again this coming Friday for the promotion’s third event since the onset of the pandemic. The event is entitled “Clash of Heroes” and will feature many of the promotion’s top stars.
Returning to Colosseum Tournament for the first time since winning the Featherweight Title is reigning champion Maxim Railean. Railean won the title after Adrian Maxim walked out of the fight when he was unhappy about the announcement of an extra round. However, the title will not be on the line this Friday as this fight will be at 70 kilos against a very game Gabriel Bozan who picked up a win in his last Colosseum fight in October.
The card also features another Colosseum Tournament champion Andrei Ostrovanu. Having won the -71 kg title in September of last year, Ostrovanu continues to prove why he is the top lightweight fighter in the promotion, defeating Flavius Boiciuc in October. His opponent in the main event will be Sorin Caliniuc, but this time he moves up a weight class to -75 kilos where he will try to become a champion in two weight divisions. The only other fighter to have accomplished that feat is Eduard Gafencu. Ostrovanu’s opponent, Caliniuc, is a young, talented fighter who is a Romanian champion of kempo karate, boxing and kickboxing. The full fight card for the evening can be found below.
