FightBox is proud to announce that King of Kings, one of the most recognizable brands of kickboxing, will return to live action from Vilnius, Lithuania on Saturday November 16th 2019 starting at 7:00 pm CET (8:00 pm in Lithuania).
KOK returns to its home base of Vilnius, Lithuania for what will be a historic night for the promotion. MMA Bushido, the mixed martial arts brand of KOK, will celebrate its 20th anniversary. KOK will also be presenting its 80th event. As usual, a crowd of over 10,000 spectators is expected at Siemens Arena and there are many surprises in store for fans on this special evening.
In a heavyweight contest, the current KOK European Heavyweight Champion and kickboxing legend Dzevad Poturak will once again step inside the KOK ring, this time against the Polish “Terminator” Wieslaw Kwasniewski in a non-title bout. Poturak is a force both in and out of the ring for King of Kings as he his helping to build the brand’s presence in the Balkan region. Another KOK champion will also be in action when Henrikas Viksraitis, the current Lightweight Champion, makes a speedy return to the ring after successfully defending the title just two months ago. His opponent is Turkey’s Abdullah Kaplan. Kaplan has competed on several occasions for KOK Turkey and is one of the most exciting prospects coming out of the lightweight division, even winning a -72 kg WPG tournament in late August.
MMA fans will also have a special treat as MMA Bushido is organizing a tag team MMA fight at -85 kilos when Naglis Kanisauskas and Erikas Golubovskis team up to take on the Ukrainian duo of Bohdan Kotlovianov and Maksym Soroka. In this fight, you may “tag” your partner at any time during the battle. Then the partners will change places and the fight will continue. The full fight card for the evening can be found below.
