KOK Kickboxing - LIVE from Sakarya, Turkey 02.03.2019

FightBox is proud to announce that King of Kings, one of the most recognizable brands of kickboxing, will return to live action from Sakarya, Turkey on Saturday March 2nd 2019 starting at 5:00 pm CET (7:00 pm in Turkey).

King of Kings is back on FightBox for the promotion’s second event of 2019. KOK started cooperation with long-time Turkish fighter and promoter Erkan Varol last year to produce two big events in Turkey and this trend continues into 2019. All the fights on the card will be held under full Muay Thai rules, with the exception of the main event which is an MMA World Title Fight. In that fight, Bayram Yalcin of Turkey faces Nasuru Ndahinyuka of Rwanda in a much anticipated contest. In one of the most bizarre moments of 2018, Bayram Yalcin stopped fighting and got into a heated argument with the referee about something during his fight in Vilnius, Lithuania last November. After a lot of commotion, the fight was eventually stopped and declared a TKO loss for Yalcin in the first round. He now has a chance to redeem himself with one of the biggest opportunities of his career.

Also on the card is a women’s Muay Thai rules match at -57 kilos when Irem Capar of Turkey takes on countrywoman Ozge Nur Avcil. Capar took part in the Women’s -60 kg WGP Tournament in December, winning her semi-final fight before losing by decision in the finals against Ilknur Kurt. Avcil is an amateur champion and will have the support of her hometown in Sakarya. The full fight card for the evening can be found below.
