FightBox is proud to announce that Superkombat Fighting Championship, one of the top kickboxing promotions in the world, returns to live action on Friday April 7th at 7:00pm Central European Time (8:00pm Romania).
Superkombat goes back to its roots and the building where it all began seven years ago, the Romexpo Dome in Bucharest, Romania. "Here at Romexpo arena, in 2010, I organized the last World Grand Prix in Europe for the old K-1. Immediately after that, I decided to create Superkombat. Now, seven years later, we have a new adventure in coming to America", said Mr. Eduard Irimia, CEO of Superkombat.
The New Heroes part of the event will be live on FightBox HD featuring six fights under kickboxing rules. In what could be a knockdown, drag-out affair, two heavy hitters in the light heavyweight plus division square off as Marios Blanas of Greece returns to Superkombat kickboxing to take on Romanian knockout artist Dumitru Topai. It was back on November 7th 2015 when Blanas fought Bogdan Nastase in one of the wildest brawls in Superkombat history. Click here to see the video. Topai was also successful on that night and since then has continued knocking out opponent after opponent. Also, Spain’s Imanol Rodriguez will take on Swiss fighter Daniel Stefanovski in a light heavyweight title eliminator. The full fight card can be found below.
