FightBox is proud to announce that King of Kings, one of the most recognizable brands of kickboxing, will return to live action from Krefeld, Germany on Saturday November 30th 2019 starting at 7:00 pm CET.
King of Kings returns to Germany for the first time in six years. The main attraction of the night is a four-man welterweight WGP tournament. In the first semi-final fight, Germany’s Ekrem Doruk will face Jay Overmeer of Holland. Doruk is a protégé of K1 legend Remy Bonjasky and has had some big fights over the past few years. His opponent, Overmeer, is a WFL champion in his home country of Holland. In the second semi-final Eddy Orcan of Germany will take on Chico Kwasi of Holland. Kwasi is a well known name in KOK having accumulated a record of 2-1 in the promotion. His opponent is Eddy Orcan of the Trust Gym in Hamburg. The two semi-final winners will square off later in the evening in the finals. This tournament is crucial in the KOK welterweight rankings as current champion Constantin Rusu has yet to defend the title since winning it in October of 2018.
The heavyweight division in KOK is really starting to heat up. In Germany we will find out who the next contender will be for the currently vacant KOK World Heavyweight Championship. It was in Slovakia on November 9th that Martin Pacas defeated Michal Turynski for the Interim Heavyweight Championship. This has earned him a World Heavyweight Title fight against the WGP tournament winner Aleksandar Dimovski in 2020. In Germany, Mahammed Daddouch will fight Sasa Polugic in a Contender Fight to decide who will face the winner of the Pacas - Dimovski World Title fight.
