FightBox is proud to announce that Superkombat Fighting Championship, one of the top kickboxing promotions in the world, returns to live action on Sunday September 17th at 7:00 pm Central European Time (8:00 pm Romania).
Superkombat kickboxing returns to its home base of Bucharest, Romania after two successful events co-promoted in China with Faith Fight Championships. Promoter Eduard Irimira has big plans for a three-day “Superkombat Expo”. The third and final day of this fight festival will feature the WGP (World Grand Prix) portion of the event live on FightBox with several key Superkombat fighters in action.
In the main event, Superkombat Lightweight Champion Cristian Spetcu makes his first Superkombat appearance since winning the vacant title over Simon Santana in November of 2016. His opponent is Morocco’s Amed West. This is a rematch from October of 2015 when these two last met. In that fight Spectcu defeated West by unanimous decision. In the heavyweight division, Switzerland’s Partick Schmid is back in Superkombat for the third time this year after picking up big wins in both April and May. This time he faces the formidable Aundre Groce of the UK. Also on the card are top SK fighters Cosmin Ionescu, Dumitru Topai, Giuseppe de Domenico and more. The full card can be found below.
